Hey gang! Have we got an exciting week lined up for you. Saturday I will be at The Windy City Pulp and Paper Convention, along with the likes of all your favorite New Pulp Publishers. Besides myself, I know for a fact my favorite editor/artist team Ron Fortier, and Rob Davis of Airship 27 will be there. Van Allen Plexico from White Rocket Books (Look at those covers!) Wayne Reinagel of Knightsraven Books. Tommy Hancock, writer, editor for Pro Se Press, and the creator of the whole damn Pulp Ark will be rocking the joint, too. Not to mention Will Murray and a kzillion other tables full of adventure, action and mayhem.
If you like pulp--if you like genre fiction--this is the place you ought to be!
Also, if you still happen to be in the Chicago area, I'll be reading (out loud, even!) on May 1st at TUESDAY FUNK at the luxurious Hopleaf, 5148 N. Clark St., Chicago, IL 60640. The 45th episode of Tuesday Funk will feature readings from Chris Mendius, B.C. Bell, Susanna Lang, Julie Rosenthal, and Tom Underberg! You'll also get a new Poem By Bill, not to mention your pick of dozens of varieties of cold beer at the bar. The show starts at 7PM.
I hope to see you at either or both of these events. WINDY CITY will be celebrating a hundred years of Edgar Rice Burroughs, so I expect to see all you John Carter fans there.
By the way, if you've never been to a pulp reading, it's a hell of a lot more exciting than listening to old tapes of T.S. Elliot. In fact, for me, it's sort of performance art. Yes, you will see an author at a reading pulling the pin from a hand grenade with his teeth, making pistols with his fingers ,and, of course, doing all the different voices. Take that T.S.

Secret Agent X Vol. 2 Re-released!
Hey, Gang! Secret Agent X Vol 2, has just been re-released! This little gem contains my breakout novella "THE GATEWAY MACHINE," where Secret Agent X is forced to face the minions of H. P. Lovecraft's CTHULLU! Four words: "The Pilgrims of Innsmouth." Sean (Dodge Dalton) Ellis has the cover story--and you can't knock the work of Kevin Noel Olsen or G. L. Glick, either! You can get a solid copy of all four stories for only $14.99 here:

Or a kicking PDF for whatever reader you may have here:

As Sean Ellis might say, saving the world has never been so much fun! Me? I say it takes a hero like Secret Agent X to do it all twice!
